Of a quiet and retiring nature, he nevertheless associated himself in various community undertakings and was particularly interested in sport, and this year was chosen as President of the Ramblers Baseball Club.

The death occurred yesterday morning, following a lingering illness, of Mrs Katherine Johnstone, age sixty five years.
